Loud constant beep at first turn on - not solved with other trouble shooting tips

have just finished building my Emblaser Core - when we turn it on there is a loud constant beep. having checked other requests we have also checked that the SD card is in correctly and that both white flexible cables are inserted correctly.
We require assistance please :slight_smile:

I notice you have a support ticket also, so I’ll help you directly from there.

For anyone else who stumbles across this with a similar issue, I’ll list some of the common causes below this post.

Checklist for long beep at startup for the Emblaser Core after assembly:

  • Check that the SD Card is inserted correctly - It can sometimes pop out when the Controller Board Cover is being positioned.

  • Make sure the FFC (Flat Flexible Cable) is fully seated in its the connectors at each end.

Check that nothing is obstructing the  Homing Switches  on the  Laser Carriage , such as a wire, belt end or debris.

Ensure that each  Homing Switch  makes an audible click when pressed manually.

If this does not help, please send an email to support@darklylabs.com, detailing what you have already tried/checked and what the machine is doing, specifically if the machine is homing.
